Producthunt signup does not allow email based signups. You can signup using your Angellist, Twitter, Facebook or Google accounts. They make the registration simple via one click options but I really miss the email signups. But, the plus point is they do not ask you for any verification as they have passed that to other big popular products who verifies the accounts via email or phone number. They only asks you to authorize the app once which is just another button click if you are logged in to your Facebook/Twitter/Google/Angegelist accounts.
